ASB Officer Positions

 

ASB President -

The Student Body President shall be chair of the entire student body, the Executive Council, attend School Board meetings as necessary, coordinate the monthly school legislative meetings, be the liaison between the students and the administration, and represent Lakeridge with student government representatives from other schools. Only Juniors (those who will be Seniors during term of office) may run for this position.

ASB Vice-President -

The Student Body Vice-President shall preside over the activities of the school, including ASB activities and events, oversee the work of the four Class Presidents and the events of all Lakeridge clubs, help to supervise all work of the Executive Council members and report back to the President on issues dealing with school activities. The ASB Vice-President will assume the duties of the President if he/she is unable.

ASB Secretary -

The Secretary shall be: Secretary at Student Legislature and Executive Council meetings and direct school elections.

ASB Treasurer -

The ASB Treasurer shall: be the liaison between the bookkeeper and the Executive Council and update each class with monthly statements, report back to the President on issues dealing with the financial operation of student government. He/she shall keep a monthly record of the profit and loss of each ASB event and oversee the Class Treasurers who keep track of the profit and loss of Class events. It is the ASB Treasurer's responsibility to oversee and make sure that Executive Council members are accountable for the purchase orders (P.O.s) that they receive from the bookkeeper.

ASB Assemblies Directors -

The two Assemblies Directors shall plan and direct all non-athletic assemblies and aid the Activities Director in the planning of social and cultural activities.

ASB Activities Director -

The Activities Director shall coordinate the open calendar, direct social and cultural activities including spirit weeks and special events.

ASB Publicity Director -

The Publicity Director shall direct all publicity regarding school activities, such as bulletin announcements, intercom announcements, flyers, signs, etc., as well as communicate with outside groups and committees.

ASB Recognition Director -

ASB Technology Director -

The Technology Resource Director shall assist the Lakeridge Associated Student Body and the Executive Council with technological applications and maintain an Internet website for the Associated Student Body.

Class Officer Positions

 

Class President

The Class President shall: chair their respective class council and coordinate class activities and fund-raising projects. All Class Presidents shall work with the Activities Director to plan, organize, and supervise class and school activities.

Class Vice-President

The Class Vice President shall be responsible for the committees within the class council and assist the Class President in class affairs, and serve as class liaison to the ASB Activities Director.

Class Secretary/Treasurer

The Class Secretary/Treasurer shall keep an accurate record of the class account, maintain records of class activities, and take minutes of all class meetings.
