My current work has been centered on my concentration, lines, movement and texture produced from trees. This concentration has allowed me to broaden my horizons to different supplies and medias. I am exploring different materials and techniques, also challenging myself with creating more abstract artwork. With each piece of art I strive to keep each one original and diverse from the next but at the same time being able to connect them to my concentration. I have found this year to be a real learning experience for myself and it has been great to see my art grow and improve throughout.

Art allows me to inspire others as well embody myself. Creating artwork is a way for me to express myself and feelings in an imaginative and meaningful manner. It allows me to let others view my character in an unconventional way. I especially enjoy the freedom art has given me. It leaves an open door for my imagination and creativity. I am able to push myself to different lengths and discover how far I will go. Art will always be in my life in one form or another. An aspiring goal/career choice of mine is to become an interior designer.

When I am starting a piece of work I begin by sketching a layout of what I plan to do. I think about what materials and or what process I plan to use. I know a piece is done when I feel that there is nothing I could add that would benefit to its overall appearance. A new procedure I have discovered over the course of this year is working with watered down acrylic. It displays an appearance of watercolors but is easier to work with. I love working with different backgrounds such as wood, cardboard, etc. but I find myself always coming back to canvas. For me personally canvas seems to always be a consistent and reliable backdrop.
